The month of love, and I got two of 'em!

Second month into 2014? Holy cow, don't sneak on me so fast! Haha. We have had an adventurous month, so here we go!

So in the beginning of January, Marley decided it was time to start the crawling! (She started 'army' crawling at 6 months and 6 days) and then this month has been busy chasing her down because she is going EVERYWHERE! I have had to close ALL our doors and just grateful that we don't have any stairs to deal with right now ;)

Not long after Marley started crawling she started to pull herself up on the couch and every other sturdy unit we have in the living room, we of course have had to move EVERYTHING up and out of the way...baby proofing has not been easy and you never really realize how much you have to watch/proof until you have a crawler getting into everything!

Have I ever mentioned how much I am grateful for renting? I am very grateful, this month we had our water heater kinda went boom and leaked water all over in our hallway and living room, making the floor soaking wet! So we had a very busy Saturday with the plumber getting the new water heater in and then minutes later the carpet guy coming in to replace the soaking wet mats and carpet. We decided that we needed to have an even more hectic Saturday by maneuvering our crappy old couch out of our apartment (and THAT was not easy at all with only us two). So with no couch and our living room a disarray we went in search of new sitters! We had this huge swing in the corner that was really taking up way too much space, and decided if we could find o new couch and love seat we could get rid of the swing. We were kinda dreading the fact that we were going to have to get another crappy couch or spend tons of money on a couch we know we couldn't afford. So we went to drop off the old couch and went in just to check, not holding our breath though. BUT to our surprise we went in and found a nice leather couch that wasn't too abused. And to make the day even better we found a love seat that kinda matches it and it wasn't sold! So we spent 40 bucks on two good couches that will make it super easy to maintain! SCORE!

Anyways, off my giddy about my couches (haha) in other news: TJ turned the big ol' 2-5 this year! We celebrated twice, we had a nice dinner out (unfortunately Marley was still sick and a velcro baby so we didn't get a date away...hopefully we can get one soon though) and I got away while TJ was not paying attention and I got him some of his favorites, OREO'S! And they were the birthday cake kind so it was a two in one (he wasn't feeling a cake or ice cream. And I can't go wrong with oreo's) and got him a fun video game that we can both play!

And we went out a week later with my parents so they could celebrate with him as well. What a lucky guy! We got to talk with TJ's family on his birthday and he really enjoyed seeing his family, if only they lived closer and we could see them in person more often. Hopefully soon enough!

The plague has hit the household, poor Marley had a really bad fever and cough. Luckily it was not RSV but it has still been miserable for us. No sleep and poor Marley was super miserable, cried all night in her sleep. I am glad to announce she is feeling better. Once she started getting better I started coming down with this awful stuff. I am so lucky TJ can work from home, he was able to stay home and take care of Marley for two days. He is really so awesome and caring, letting me get the rest I need to get better to take care of them both. I'm recovering slowly and I am glad TJ hasn't gotten this awful ickies yet. (hopefully not at all)

So, now onto February. Happy 7 months my beautiful little Toots!
I couldn't get her to be happy or hold still long enough to get a picture with a board, so we will try again in a few days. This was the best we got.

She is now 18 lbs (75% in her weight so we are still doing good!-Its all that crawling she does now) and 28 inches long. What a supermodel baby!

Marley milestones: like mentioned before Marley is crawling like crazy! We have to seriously keep an eye on her every second she is awake! And she has been super terrible at taking naps so this is a LONG day for mommy. She has pulled herself up onto the couches, TV stand, drums, bookshelf...you name it, and she has crawled up on it! She will follow me everywhere and I think it is so cute! (When I am doing my hair she gets all excited and crawls to the bathroom to be with me) She is seriously the sweetest and I really enjoy having the moving child I do. It is so fun to play with her. Her favorite thing to do is go in her little corner and play with her toys, she is so content with just playing on her own and it gives me a quick break to go pee or grab a bite to eat. :)

She has started saying 'dada' and TJ really loves it and when they talk it melts me heart. (I WANT MORE BABIES!!!! haha!) Talking and squealing all over the house, there is never a dull moment! She has learned it is also okay to laugh more, which I love. We spend our days playing tag, peek-a-boo, and the tickles, always awaiting daddy's arrival after a long day. She loves eating sweet potatoes and squash and some other table foods (man, it makes me feel like we have a dog instead of a kid! haha). She has began to learn the whole sharing thing, though its not working out that great so far (haha). Oh, and I cannot get her to sit still for a minute...so I am always so worn out!

She is growing up so fast, why must time go so fast? But I am so so happy to have such an amazing, happy, healthy, fun, loving, adorable little girl.

Until next time!

Marley's new decor I made for her room
Daddy/daughter dancing. Got a teach 'em young!
We really tried to get her to hold still, even high up on a chair and still manages to not hold still.
*sigh*
So this resulted in mommy being sad about it...
Me and my happy girl chillin out like everyday! She crawled to the bathroom to be with me.
(cue the 'awww's)
And we're out!
